Mike Cooper, CPM - CEO
Mike Cooper has accumulated over thirty-five years of multifamily and commercial construction & real estate experience since graduating from the University of Georgia in 1974. In addition, he has completed course work through the Institute of Real Estate Management, the Urban Land Institute, the Management Research Institute, and Philip Crosby’s renowned "Quality College". Mike joined NRI Construction, Inc. as President and Chief Operating Officer in early 2009, becoming Chief Executive Officer in 2010. Prior to joining NRI, Mike was with Fortune-Johnson, Inc., in the role of President since 1999. Fortune-Johnson is one of only a few premiere national platform multifamily construction companies in the industry. The company won many awards under Mike Cooper’s leadership, including three First Place ABC "Awards of Excellence". The company experienced 1200% growth over 11 years, twice making a list of The Atlanta Business Chronicle’s "50 Fastest Growing Companies". He holds a current broker’s license for the state of Georgia, and his memberships and past activities include: IREM (holds the CPM designation); IREI (RPM designation); Atlanta Regional Commission (served on the Community Development Advisory Group); Atlanta Apartment Association; National Apartment Association; Urban Land Institute (served as speaker on the Small Scale Development Council); The Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors (multi-year Million Dollar Club member), and the National Association of Realtors.

Mike McCarthy - CFO
Mike has spent the past 15 years working with quickly growing, entrepreneurial companies. As the Chief Financial Officer, his role has been to develop the financial infrastructure necessary to support a rapidly growing organization – financial reporting, bank and equity financing, cash flow management, financial systems implementations, and strategic planning. In addition to overseeing the finance, accounting, and tax functions, Mike is also a licensed attorney. He uses his legal training to negotiate and review contracts, oversee litigation, and advise on regulatory compliance matters. Mike has an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin and a law degree from Marquette University. He is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs, the Georgia Bar Association, and the Florida Bar Association. He is also a member of the Financial Executives International.

David Hume – Director Business Development
David Hume is a 35 year veteran of the construction and commercial real estate industry. His experience spans the full spectrum of property types and disciplines. He has constructed, managed, leased, sold, and owned commercial properties and reached the pension fund advisor level of expertise. David’s knowledge of markets, marketing, operations, construction, and financial performance has consistently provided clients with valuable tools in investment property.

Hal Woods – Director Operations and Pre-Construction Services
Hal Woods has been in the Construction arena for over 30 years in the capacity of subcontractor, General Contractor, and Senior Manager. He has participated in the construction or renovation of over 30,000 units during this time. Recent experience includes construction and renovation of affordable housing and construction services work on several Military bases. He holds General Contractor Licenses in multiple states and functions as the Primary License holder for NRI Construction, along with his other responsibilities. Hal initially set up NRI’s first regional office in Florida and subsequently returned to the corporate office in Atlanta where he assisted in the retooling of our business development, operations, and pre-construction departments.

Adam Bregenzer - CIO
Adam Bregenzer directs information technology and management. Since joining the company in March of 2007, he has concentrated on updating and streamlining systems and processes to advance NRI in today's technologically advanced marketplace. With more than a decade in technology development and operations, Adam has the breadth of experience needed to provide the range of expertise necessary for advancing NRI’s commitment of providing superior services for its customers. Adam is a charter member of the ‘Kaos.Theory Computer Security Consortium’; he developed and presented various projects to the Information Security industry at a number of national conventions. He has also developed a number of nationally recognized websites and projects receiving worldwide press from Wired News, The New York Times, The Register, the Boston Globe, and the LA Times.

Todd Schirner – Controller
Todd Schirner has 15 years of accounting experience in the construction industry. As the Controller he has responsibility for preparing monthly financial statements, implementing cost controls, spearheading technology implementations, and working with senior management on the company’s business plan. Todd has an accounting degree from Asbury University and an MBA from Almeda University. He is a member of the Certified Construction Industry Financials Professionals as well as the Construction Financial Management Association.
